SHELTERS _in_direct strike

A spacious room with huge windows. Body on the floor. Notification: Russia has launched 83 missiles and 548 drones of various types against Ukraine from May 24th to May 25th 2025. Silence. Body on the floor. Nothing going on in the Uferstudios, Berlin-Wedding.
How does war extend beyond the war-zones? How does it affect people in Berlin, Germany? And what are we going to do when it reaches us fully? SHELTERS_in_direct strike explores human vulnerability and unpreparedness in the face of war. Drawing on civilians’ experiences in modern warfare and historical references, the performance collides this material with the performer’s body. Grounded in open communication with the audience, it invites collective reflection on the fragile border between war and peace.
