Choreographing Periphery (WT)

Choreographing Periphery is a solo performance - or rather, a duet with two melting blocks of ice - that investigates the relation between center and periphery. Moving between maintenance and destruction, glory and violence, the work deploys vandalism as an artistic strategy to challenge embodied dominant narratives and disrupt the systems that operate to maintain them.

Kriá is a choreographer, performer and artist researcher based in Berlin. Their works interact with expanded fields of improvisation, choreography, sculpture, and writing. Their artistic work engages with questions around periphery, class structures and vandalism.
