This publication provides insights into the artistic research processes of the graduate students of the MA SODA (Solo/Dance/Authorship) programme at the HZT—Inter-University Centre for Dance Berlin. It brings together individual research essays in which Michael(a) Daoud, Jemima Rose Dean, Leon Locher, Shao Shin Frieda Luk, Angélica Roa, Andrii Romanenko reflect on the body- and movement-based investigations they undertook during the two-year programme. The publication coincides with the SODA WORKS 2025 public presentations of students’ artistic works in the Uferstudios campus in November and December 2025, and is exemplary of the close interweaving of artistic-performative, theoretical and writing practice that characterises the work in the MA SODA.
