Juli Reinartz

Juli Reinartz studied philosophy, dance, and choreography in Berlin and Stockholm and has been working internationally as a freelance choreographer since 2012. Her work often explores the themes of body politics and time experiences, with collective and collaborative working methods playing a central role. Juli also leads seminars, workshops, and lectures on these topics at universities such as the Free University of Berlin (FU Berlin), the Theater Academy/Uniarts Helsinki, the Cologne University of the Arts (HfMT Köln), HKS Ottersberg, and the Glasgow School of Arts, among others.

Between 2019 and 2026, Juli was a doctoral candidate at the Theater Academy of Uniarts Helsinki, where she conducted research on “Crip Time” as a choreographic strategy and as a question of collective experience. Her own endocrinologically turbulent body increasingly influences her perception of time and thus formed the center of her research.

Since 2024, Juli has also been co-project director of “Making a Difference,” a network project of Berlin-based dance institutions that aims to support artists with lived experiences of disability and to establish anti-ableist working processes.
