SENSUALITY IS THE ANGELS’ ALCHEMY

This work is an interdisciplinary dance performance exploring queer femininity as a site of resistance, spirituality, and embodied knowledge.

Three queer FLINTA* bodies are following Mary Magdalene’s whispers to find sensuality and connection in the truest sense of the meaning: finding spirituality through our senses.

This work originates in the necessity to create spaces that can hold the complexity and messiness of being human. In this micro-cosmos we give agency to our bodies, allow them to process and to be seen in it. We find solace in a sensuality that brings us back to the pleasures and divinity of emotion and celebrates (queer) friendship as a romantic space of pleasure and resistance. This is post-cringe and encourages dancers and audiences alike to feel deeply and intensely.

Edgar Mauser(she/they) is a neurodivergent, non-binary visual artist, dancer and choreographer based in Berlin. After studying fashion design and fine-arts they changed course to focus on dance, somatic practices and choreography. They just graduated from HZT Berlin with a BA in “dance, choreography, context”. Her work explores themes of intimacy, connection, heartache, pop-culture, femininity and spirituality.
