The Line is a Hole (this tremble)
© Francesco FinottoThe Line is a Hole (this tremble) is a solo performance that investigates orientation as an embodied, ethical and political condition. What does it mean to stand upright? Where are we facing toward? Who leads? Along which lines do we move, desire and belong?
Uprightness is not only imposed; it is also desired. In the backdrop, or in plain sight, it organizes exclusion, domination and violence. The work lingers within this tension, where critique and attraction become inseparable. The body unfolds as a manifold – a porous constellation of contradictory figures, memories and projections. Altered temporalities, repetition, edited gestures, vocal utterances and somatic fictions open a space where meaning remains unsettled and offers a nest for the uncanny.
