Embodied Knowledge: A Journey

Seven students of the MA Choreography at the Interuniversity Centre for Dance Berlin are testing artistic research as physical practice in cooperation with the Kustodie of the TU Dresden: They approach scientific collection objects in motion, through dance and physical presence as forms of knowledge. Among other things, the collection of dyes and the collection of gear models become places of unexpected sensual exploration, historical teaching and research objects the occasion of lively encounters. What happens when hands, weight and breath take over what writing and image can only insufficiently capture? An invitation to experience knowledge differently – in movement, in space, in contact.
