Nadja Rima (In Elternzeit)

MA Solo/Dance/Authorship

Rima Najdi is a Berlin-based performance artist. Her work reconfigures and renegotiates spaces in between. She engages with how identity is constructed and perceived, focusing on the lived experience of the body. She is interested in the vulnerability of the body in relation to the politicized tropes of gender, security, mobility and representation. She works with different media and forms, such as performance, costume design, video installations and poster production. Rima Najdi challenges established social and aesthetic norms and pushes the boundaries of the personal to explore the body's ability to claim political knowledge through art.

Najdi's work has been presented at international festivals and various venues. Her current performances are: I Grew an Alien Inside of Me, commissioned by Tashweesh Festival (2022), Dress ME how YOU like & Happy New Fear, Prague Crossroads Festival (2019). Think Much. Cry Much.
