Forschungsfelder und -interessen
Sadler's work operates at the intersection of dance, performance, sculpture and digital art. Her multi disciplinary choreographic work focuses on the transformative power of the human body - imagined through its relationship and interconnectedness with the non-human. Using fiction and imaginaries connected to hybridity and the future, the bodies in her works transcend boundaries: between living and dead, real and virtual, past and future, organic and artificial. She often develops her movement language, choreography and context based on building prototypical bodies.
Since 2016 she has been developing "Present Futures”, a bi-annual cycle of curatorial events exploring themes of speculative futures and post-disciplinarity in collaboration with The Centre of Contemporary Art Glasgow UK, Glasgow University, Glasgow School of Art, GoMa (Glasgow Mueum), Goethe Institute, Pro Helvetia, Kings College London and Scottish Dance Theatre. Invited artists include Adam Linder, Miranda Pennell, Keiken, Daria Martin and Ian Kaler amongst many others.
